This also happens to be the 101st blog post that I’ve made on here, so that seems pretty appropriate. Two days before Belle’s birthday, I picked Guy and Shirley up from the airport. We had a fantastic visit with them as they helped us prepare the house and they did a fantastic job of distracting Isabelle when we needed to run errands or prep things for the party.
The party itself was great, with just a few friends (all our babysitters, in fact – thanks guys!), and Guy and Shirley. Belle loved the attention, and the presents, and especially the cupcake, which just happened to be covered in her first experience with refined sugar. That icing disappeared pretty quick, but luckily we snapped a few photos. Afterwards we opened presents (also thanks to those who mailed them out from BC!) and showered Belle with affection and then had a relaxing evening after she went to bed (which surprisingly didn’t take hours and hours despite the sugar rush).

Michelle,
gotta say, I LOVE the idea of having a glass of wine while decorating! I should do that more often
Looks like Belle enjoyed her cupcake (icing first, atta girl!)
