Mid-October, my parents popped in for a visit. We had a fantastic time just exploring the trails around the house and checking out some spots around town. We even had an early birthday dinner for Michelle at a Mexican place we’d been wanting to check out (thanks Mom and Dad!). It was a super simple and really relaxing time, which was just what we needed. The day before they left, Mom, Dad, Belle and I were able to head out to Elk Island National Park for a couple beautiful hikes, where we saw tons of bison, some coyotes, some eagles and lots of beaver lodges (though no beavers).
