We decided to take the scenic route from London to Alliston, and on the recommendations of Arik, Charis and Shirley, we went through Mennonite Country! It was great advice, and not only did it save me from falling asleep behind the wheel on another boring highway, we were able to stop at the St. Jacobs Market for lunch. Some delicious Perogies and ridiculously amazing apple fritters (I had to wait in line for about 20 minutes just to get them) made a great ending to a morning spent perusing the quaint little stalls and shops at the market.
After some winding country roads and rolling hills, we ended up at the Alden’s for dinner, where we had a fantastic dinner and evening just catching up and chatting (and of course Belle ended up with more loot: a new blanket and some warm weather gear. Thanks, again!). At the end of the night, we packed up again and headed back to the cottage.
