First Visit to the Island

Saturday morning we left for Belle’s first ferry ride and visit to the Island (Cedar, just outside Nanaimo). We went for just one night, but were able to see both sets of great grandparents, one set of grandparents, two aunts (one honorary), one uncle and two second cousins. We had a fantastic time and it was nice to get her out to a house that has so much family history in it.
We also received some amazing gifts, one of which was an incredible play-quilt which Brian’s mom, Diane, made for us. There are pictures of Belle laying on top of it below, and we’re super excited to one day start teaching her numbers and letters while she rolls around on it.
This is also where she decided to start peeing midway through every diaper change. We’re currently at a four change streak, the latest being while we were sitting at the ferry terminal. Luckily Michelle was prepared, and despite the fact that she was changing her on her lap, not a drop strayed. It did cost us an extra diaper though.

Haha the peeing midway through diapers – Love it! We had that spell, then it changed to pooping through diapers :)

Hahaha. Well, we’ve already had that at least once as well, but hopefully it’s short-lived!
