A Visit from Grandma Armstrong

This gallery contains 28 photos.

We had a great visit with Grandma Armstrong after she helped Kathleen get set up with Maddie in Winnipeg, and right before we left for our BC road trip. Belle was thrilled with Grandma’s nightly music performances, and we all had a great time walking, playing and shopping around Edmonton. We also caught a “Stars […]

A Visit From Pop-Pop

This gallery contains 29 photos.

So I’m not sure how Isabelle decided that my dad would be “Pop-Pop,” but I love the nod to Arrested Development, so I’m happy that it seems to have stuck. Anyway, last month Pop-Pop came to visit, and we had a great time introducing him to Elodie, our house and our new neighbourhood. We squeezed […]

Craig and Katie Visit

This gallery contains 38 photos.

I’m a bit late on the post, but we recently had a visit from Craig and Katie! Katie arrived first to attend a conference in town, and then a few days later we received a Craig as well. We took them, most importantly, to the playground a number of times, but we were also able […]

Gymnastics

Today was Isabelle’s last day of gymnastics! We’ve been going once a week since April, and it’s definitely something we’ll keep on doing. Since it was the final day, we even got to spend 10 minutes of free time throughout the entire facility, which was definitely fun for me.

On Wednesday, we let mom have some shopping time, so I stayed home with Belle and Elodie while Michelle headed off to THE mall. Conveniently for me, both the girls napped for the majority of the trip, but once they woke up, Elodie had a bottle and then we headed out for a walk. It […]

During the school year, our community league puts on an indoor playground that we’ve been going to on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It’s basically a gymnasium full of pedal cars, toys, playsets, slides and books. There’s even a whole bunch of exersaucers for those with really little kids. The parents and nannies all sit around drinking […]

The St. Albert Children’s Festival

This gallery contains 20 photos.

We’d heard from a few different sources that the St. Albert (a small community north of Edmonton) Children’s Festival was definitely worth the admission and drive, so last Friday we headed up for the morning. We almost went to one of the main shows, but instead settled for simply exploring the festival at large, and […]

Isabelle Gets Over Her Hippophobia

This gallery contains 1 photo.

Last Saturday we went to the annual Picnic in the Part event, thrown by our neighbourhood community league. We had a great time and there were face painters, a bouncy castle, various entertainers, lots of great food and most importantly, pony rides. After our disastrous trip to the horse show, we were somewhat surprised when […]
