Victoria for Easter

On our last weekend in Lethbridge, we headed up to Calgary and flew to Victoria for Easter. We had a great time with friends and family, had some fantastic runs along the creek and the Gorge, and generally relaxed, taking in the great weather and temperate climate. Belle also enjoyed her first barefoot walk through […]

Uh Oh!

Lethbridge

So from Golden we came straight to Lethbridge where we were to spend the following two months. We were fairly apprehensive about the whole thing at first, but one month in, we’re doing pretty darn well! First of all, we ended up in a fantastic two bedroom basement suite owned by the wonderful Lowell and […]

Walking!

I’m a bit late on the posting, but better late than never! This is probably Belle’s second or third set of steps, though it’s the first time we were able to catch it on film. The next video is from later that night; she’s a quick learner!

Golden

After a great time in Vancouver, we loaded up the van, this time with Craig and Katie’s stuff as well. An eight hour drive is a lot nicer with good company, and we had a great trip, even when it turned into a ten hour drive. Thanks to an accident 16km from our destination, we […]

Waa Waa Waa.

Belle likes to make noise, the weirder the better. Sometimes I get to help out.

Back in the ‘hood

A quick ferry ride over from the Island with our friends Kris, Shanna and Graham put us back in downtown Vancouver, where we crashed with our friends Craig and Katie. We were excited to be back in our old neighbourhood, and also excited to meet Ben, Craig and Katie’s new dog. Ben had been rescued […]

Snowy Victoria

It felt great to be back on the island, and we both breathed a sigh of contentment as we drove down to Victoria from Nanaimo, passing through the lush green scenery. What a change from snowy, grey Edmonton. So when we woke up to a foot and a half of snow the next morning, we […]

Great Grandparents and the Shore

Our first stop on the Island was up in Cedar to visit both sets of great grandparents. Dad and Kathleen drove up to meet us, and my Great Aunt Jean and her partner Mike were there as well. We had a great visit and did a little photo shoot down by the water.

Langley and Vancouver Aquarium

We’re off on two weeks of vacation! Our first stop was Langley, where we hung out with Guy and Shirley, exploring old Fort Langley and Whiterock, relaxing around the house, enjoying dinner with the Bell’s, lunching at Provence Marinaside for Shirley’s birthday lunch and spending an afternoon at the aquarium. Since arriving, Belle has mastered […]
