Belle had her first checkup last Friday, and everything was great! She’d lost weight since being born, but all babies do, and she’d started gaining since. Our doctor was definitely happy with how alert and healthy she was, and even though we already knew that she was perfect in every way, it was nice to get a second opinion backing us up. She also made a point of mentioning that in the evenings, when both mom and baby were tired from their days, that a small glass of wine for mom would go a long way towards calming everybody down.
